If you are someone who likes to feel the breeze in your hair and experience comfort at the same time, then the good news is knocking on your door. Buyers searching for a convertible SUV don’t have a lot of options nowadays. But, now Fiat has helped them by expanding their choices with a convertible version of its 500X compact SUV.
Last month it was announced to the suppliers, the open 500X will be assembled in Melfi, Italy, with the normal 500X just as the Jeep Renegade and Compass. It will compete with the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet, two-door with a retractable rooftop similar to convertible SUVs like the Range Rover Evoque and Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet.
The automakers are going to add three new SUVs to the European lineup.
- The Alfa Romeo Tonale that will space under the Stelvio
- A Stelvio-based Maserati Grecale that will fit under the Levante
- A Fiat 500X Cabrio
The 500X Cabrio seems like it’ll hold the regular 500X’s four entryways. As reported by automakers, the Cabrio in the real sense is a 500X with a drop-top. No other changes are confirmed. In particular, The side bodyboards, doors, and their frames won’t change at all. But the rooftop and back window will get replaced by a folding top.
